“My school life”

Through tertiary education, I hope I could develop my power of analysis and critical thinking, my independence of mind as well as my scope of interest. These are indispensable qualities to prepare me for the challenges and ordeals in my future career. Working in the service sector would be a challenge for me. Since the political uncertainty is widespread throughout the territory, we need a lot of professionals to instil the correct education in the youth. It is hoped that young people can contribute to Hong Kongs economy after receiving higher education. The reason why I would take teaching as my career is that I enjoy being involved in service activities, or at least teaching my classmates to do their homework. I am an active, talkative and outgoing person. As I believe that adequate exercise and comprehensive development of personal skills are keys to unlocking the door to success, I expose myself to a variety of learning sources. During my school time, I participated in the general education thinking training class, which trained my logical mind. Besides, I am a member of the leadership team and have served as a prefect and record assistant for two years. Not only have these experiences trained me to be able to work under pressure but they also equipped me with strong communication skills. It strengthens my management and organizational skills. As a house committee, I also gained valuable experience through different community competitions. I realized what a good leader should possess to keep the team spirit and be an influential leader. Those experiences inspired me to believe that a good leader must be observant and considerate. On the other hand, during the process of preparing for events such as the Music Festival and Sports Day, I have mastered some leadership skills, which include making the right decisions even when under pressure and being responsible so as to be trusted and respected. I believe that it is important to create an agile team. Through these experiences, I improve my communication skill. I participate in flag-selling activities every year because I think flag-selling is a very interesting activity. When I grow up, I understand that the real meaning of flag selling is to help different social organizations in need, such as disabled people, abandoned animals, etc. although many people are not willing to buy the flags, I enjoy the process of selling flags very much and am particularly motivated to do it because I think that this can help the disadvantaged. In addition, I received encouragement from many people in the process of selling flags, hoping that I will continue to do good deeds. These experiences make me enjoy helping others and has the intention to pursue a career in the service industry. I hope that one day I can use my talents to make my dream come true and I can enter university to start my academic training in education.
